Julia Ost (b. 1987 in the USSR) is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist exploring traditionally feminine qualities and hidden layers of our emotions through free-flowing, low-relief sculptures. Her work is guided by intuition and a deep connection to her matriarchal roots. Ost’s fascination with clay stems from her grandmother, who worked as a painter in a ceramics factory. 
Ost's prior work in design informed her artistic practice, in which she emphasizes structure, composition, and visual clarity. Her work has been selected for juried exhibitions in Japan, Portugal, the UK, the USA, and Germany
