lola giancarelli

Lola Giancarelli (b. 1983, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a visual artist who explores memory, identity, matter, and symbolic forces through collage, drawing, painting, printmaking, and experimental paper.

Working with found, archival, and urban materials, she transforms fragments through cutting, stitching, layering, and handmade paper, conceived as a living archive of territories and memories. Her work explores the tension between appearance and disappearance, the ephemeral and the enduring, and the intimate and collective. Her activist background informs her interest in art as a space for transformation, memory, and resistance.
