Step into a playful and creative drawing experience where experimentation leads the way. In this workshop, we’ll explore non-traditional approaches to mark-making, creative composition, and expressive visual language. Each class invites you to break away from conventions and connect with drawing as a joyful form of self-expression.

You will learn out-of-the-box techniques, encouraging experimentation and curiosity. Through a mix of prompts, dynamic exercises, and guided practice, you will unlock creative confidence and discover fresh ways of seeing and making. This workshop blends abstract, expressive, and figurative strategies to help you expand your artistic practice.

This workshop is open to all levels. Whether you’re just starting out or have drawing experience, Juancar will support your process and offer individual feedback. If you’re curious about pushing your creative boundaries and finding playful ways to draw, this is the right space for you.

Materials:

- Provided: Acrylic paint, brushes and paper.
- Bring your own painting apron or old clothes.
- Recommended: Bring a collection of images to use as an inspiration for your paintings

About the artist-facilitator:

Juan-Carlos Rosa-Casasola (Juancar, he/him, b. 1988, Valencia, Spain) is a Berlin based artist who explores the boundaries between public and private, analog and digital, individual and collective. He works across visibility, diversity, and shared presence in transdisciplinary projects. 

Alongside his studio practice, he leads painting workshops in Berlin, encouraging self-expression, creativity, and genuine connection. He holds a Fine Arts degree with honors from the Universitat Politècnica de València and later completed master's programs in Art Production, Multimedia Art, and Creative Design.
